Lukkerhastighed

Lukkerhastigheden refererer til den tid, det tager at åbne og lukke lukkeren, og dette er en vigtig faktor for et billedes lysstyrke, da den kontrollerer den mængde lys, der når at komme ind gennem blænderen, før det når billedsensoren.

Lukkehastigheden kan normalt justeres. Målingen af lukkehastigheden kaldes "eksponeringsværdi" (EV) og er markeret i intervaller på 1 sek., 1/2 sek., 1/4 sek., 1/8 sek., 1/15 sek., 1/1000 sek., 1/2000 sek. osv.

Jo hurtigere lukkerhastighed, jo mindre lys slippes der derfor ind.

Og tilsvarende: Jo langsommere lukkerhastighed, jo mere lys slippes der ind.

Som vist på nedenstående billeder vil en lav lukkerhastighed give mere tid til at lukke lys ind, så billedet bliver lysere. Modsat vil en høj lukkerhastighed give mindre tid til at lukke lyset ind, hvorfor billedet vil blive mørkere og lettere kan tage billeder af motiver i bevægelse.
