Hodnota clony a hloubka ostrosti

Změnou clony můžete ovlivňovat zaostření pozadí snímku. Clona je v úzké souvislosti s hloubkou ostrosti (DOF), která se popisuje jako malá nebo velká.

Clona fyzicky obsahuje několik lamel. Tyto lamely se pohybují současně a řídí množství světla, které prochází středem clony. Počet lamel clony rovněž určuje tvar světelných skvrn při nočním použití. Clona se sudým počtem lamel dělí světlo na stejný počet částí. Je-li počet lamel lichý, počet částí je dvojnásobkem počtu lamel.

Např. clona s 8 lamelami dělí světlo na 8 částí a clona se 7 lamelami na 14 částí.
