Hvis ejeren af den anden telefon indtaster samme pinkode eller accepterer forbindelsen, er parringen færdig. Hvis parringen gennemføres, søger telefonen automatisk efter tilgængelige tjenester.

Nogle enheder, f.eks. høretelefoner og håndfri sæt til bilen, har en fast Bluetooth PIN-kode, f.eks. 0000. Hvis den anden enhed har en pinkode, skal den indtastes.
