Write your text on the handwriting panel. When the device recognises the correct word, select to enter it in the text input field. Otherwise, select a word from the alternative word list.

You can use a variety of gestures in Handwriting mode to edit text. For more information about gestures, select → Handwriting settings → Gesture guide.

Your device can detect inputs from the S Pen. When you tap the field with the S Pen, the device will open the handwriting panel. To use this feature, select → Pen detection.

●● When you have written one character, write the next one. Write each letter to the right of the previous character. If you draw a stroke on top of a previous character, it may be recognised as a new character.
