››Enter text using the Samsung keypad
1 From a text field, tap the indicator icons area and drag it downwards to open the notifications panel.
2 Select Select input method → Configure input methods, and then select next to Samsung keyboard
→Portrait keyboard types → a keypad type.3 Enter text by selecting alphanumeric keys.
You can also use the following keys:

1Change the case.
2Switch text input modes.
Access the keypad settings; Tap and hold 
3to switch to Handwriting mode, enter text by voice, or access the clipboard.
4Clear your input.
5Start a new line. Insert a space.
6Functions of this key may vary depending on your service provider.
When Predictive text (XT9) mode is activated, you can use continuous input, which allows you to enter text by sweeping on the keypad. ► p. 136
