Funktionen afhænger af, hvilke undertekster der er kodet på disken, og den fungerer derfor muligvis ikke på alle Blu-ray disk/DVD'er.

En Blu-ray-disk kan indeholde op til 255 undertekstsprog. En DVD kan indeholde op til 32.

Informationer om primær/sekundær tilstand bliver også vist, hvis Blu-ray-disken har en PIP-sektion.

Denne funktion ændrer både de primære og sekundære undertekster samtidig.

Antallet af undertekster er summen af primære og sekundære undertekster.
