Jednou z výhod služby RDS je to, že špecifikovaním kódov PTY môžete lokalizovať konkrétny druh programu v rámci predvolených kanálov.

Vyhľadanie programu pomocou kódov

❑Skôr než začnete!

•Vyhľadávanie PTY sa vzťahuje len na predvolené stanice.

•Ak chcete ukončiť vyhľadávanie kedykoľvek v jeho priebehu, stlačte tlačidlo 5 počas vyhľadávania.

•Na vykonanie nasledujúcich krokov máte vyhradený časový limit. Ak sa nastavenie zruší skôr než skončíte, začnite znova od kroku 1.

•Keď stlačíte tlačidlá na primárnom diaľkovom ovládaní, uistite sa, že ste zvolili FM stanicu pomocou primárneho diaľkového ovládania.

1 . Pri počúvaní rozhlasovej stanice FM stlačte tlačidlo PTY SEARCH.

2 . Tlačidlo PTY- alebo PTY+ stláčajte dovtedy, kým sa na displeji nezobrazí želaný kód PTY.

•Na displeji sa zobrazia kódy PTY popísané napravo.

3 . Stlačte tlačidlo PTY SEARCH znovu, kým sa kód PTY zvolený v predchádzajúcom kroku stále zobrazuje na displeji.

•Centrálna jednotka vyhľadá 15 predvolených FM staníc a zastaví vyhľadávanie, keď nájde zvolenú položku; následne príslušnú stanicu naladí.
