Utilizzo del sistema RDS (Radio Data System) per la ricezione delle stazioni FM

Il sistema RDS permette alle stazioni FM di inviare un ulteriore segnale oltre a quelli dei programmi normali. Le stazioni possono, per esempio, inviare il proprio nome, nonché informazioni sul tipo di programma trasmessi (sport, musica ecc.).

Quando ci si sintonizza su una stazione FM che fornisce il servizio RDS, l'indicatore RDS si illumina nella finestra del display.

DESCRIZIONE DELLE FUNZIONI RDS

•PTY (Program type) : visualizza il tipo di programma trasmesso.

• PS NAME (Program Service Name) : visualizza il nome della stazione radiofonica (massimo 8 caratteri).

•RT (Radio Text) : visualizza il testo trasmesso dalla stazione radiofonica (massimo 64 caratteri).

•CT (Clock Time) : decodifica in tempo reale il segnale orario emesso dalla stazione FM.

Alcune emittenti non sono attrezzate per trasmettere le informazioni PTY, RT o

CT. In questo caso tali informazioni non verranno visualizzate sul display.

•TA (Traffic Announcement) : quando espone il simbolo di lampo esso indica che l'annuncio di traffico è attivato.

• Se la stazione sintonizzata trasmette il segnale RDS in modo non corretto, oppure se il segnale è debole, il sistema RDS non funzionerà correttamente.

Per visualizzare i segnali RDS

I segnali RDS inviati dalle stazioni sono visualizzabili sul display.

Premere RDS DISPLAY durante l'ascolto di una stazione FM.

Ogni volta che si preme il pulsante, il display cambierà per visualizzare le seguenti informazioni:

PS NAME ➝ RT ➝ CT ➝ Frequency

• PS (Program Service) : Durante la ricerca, compare la scritta <PS>, seguita dai nomi delle stazioni. Se non viene inviato alcun segnale, compare la scritta <NO PS>.

•RT (Radio Text) : Durante la ricerca, compare la scritta <RT>, seguita dai messaggi di testo inviati

dalla stazione. Se non viene inviato alcun segnale, compare la scritta <NO RT>.

•Frequenza : Frequenza della stazione (servizio non di tipo RDS).

Informazioni sui caratteri visualizzati

Per visualizzare i segnali PS o RT, vengono usati i seguenti caratteri.

•Il sistema non è in grado di differenziare fra maiuscole e minuscole, e le lettere visualizzate sono sempre maiuscole.

•Il sistema non è in grado di visualizzare caratteri accentati. <A>, per esempio, può corrispondere alle varie <A> accentate, come <À>, <Á>, <Â>, <Ã>, <Ä> e <Å>.

• In caso di interruzione improvvisa della ricerca, le scritte <PS> e <RT> non verranno visualizzate.
