Verkkoasetukset (kiinteä)

Kiinteän verkkoyhteyden muodostaminen

Laite voidaan yhdistää lähiverkkoon kaapelilla kolmella eri tavalla.

•Laite voidaan yhdistää lähiverkkoon kiinnittämällä lähiverkkokaapeli laitteen takana olevaan lähiverkkoporttiin ja ulkoiseen modeemiin.

•Verkkoasetuksista riippuen laitteen voi ehkä yhdistää lähiverkkoon myös kytkemällä lähiverkkokaapelin suoraan laitteen takana olevaan lähiverkkoporttiin ja verkkopistorasiaan. Katso alla olevaa kaaviota. Huomaathan, että pistorasia on yhdistetty muualla asunnossa olevaan modeemiin tai reitittimeen.

Lähiverkkokaapeli

Jos käytössä on dynaaminen verkko, käytä DHCP-protokollaa (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) tukevaa ADSL-modeemia tai -reititintä. DHCP:tä tukevat modeemit ja reitittimet asettavat automaattisesti IP-osoitteen, aliverkon peitteen, yhdyskäytävän ja DNS-arvot, jotka laite tarvitsee Internet-yhteyden muodostamiseen. Tietoja ei siis tarvitse syöttää manuaalisesti. Useimmat kotiverkot ovat dynaamisia verkkoja.

Joissakin verkoissa on käytettävä kiinteää IP-osoitetta. Jos verkko edellyttää kiinteää IP- osoitetta, IP-osoite, aliverkon peite, yhdyskäytävä ja DNS-arvot on annettava manuaalisesti laitteen kaapeliasetusnäytössä verkkoyhteyttä muodostettaessa. Pyydä Internet- palveluntarjoajalta IP-osoitteen, aliverkon peitteen, yhdyskäytävän ja DNS-arvojen tiedot. Jos käytössä on Windows-tietokone, arvot voi tarkistaa myös tietokoneelta.

•Voit käyttää DHCP:tä tukevia ADSL-modeemeja, jos verkko edellyttää kiinteää IP-osoitetta.

•DHCP:tä tukevissa ADSL-modeemeissa voidaan käyttää myös kiinteitä IP-osoitteita.
