¿Qué es un monitor tipo tableta?

Una tableta de dibujo de gráficos permite crear imágenes o seguir las existentes. El usuario interactúa con la tableta mediante un palillo o lápiz con conexión física o inalámbrico.

Si un usuario hace un dibujo con un lápiz o un palillo, el puntero de la pantalla dibuja la imagen correspondiente. Debido a que el palillo puede puntear con el borde o terminal con exactitud, mediante el cursor de precisión visible a través de la lente transparente, es el dispositivo preferido por los usuarios que dibujan imágenes científicas con precisión. Se puede personalizar la tableta de manera que los botones se sitúen en el exterior y el usuario pueda seleccionar menús y funciones pulsando los botones.

Cuando el usuario traza un dibujo o imagen con la tableta, se registran una serie de coordenadas x e y que representan los puntos intermedios o del terminal. La tableta también recibe el nombre de tableta gráfica, tableta digitalizadora o tableta electrónica.
