Ved normal anvendelse af et LCD-panel forekommer der ikke billedindbrænding. Men hvis det samme billede vises i lang tid, dannes der en lille forskel i den elektriske opladning mellem de to elektroder, der omslutter den flydende krystal. Dette kan medføre, at det flydende krystal opbygges i en bestemt område på skærmen. Derfor bevares det forrige billede, når du skifter til en nyt videobillede. Alle skærmprodukter, herunder LCD, kan udsættes for billedindbrænding. Dette er ikke en produktfejl.
