Troubleshooting
If the TV seems to have a problem, first try finding the solution in this Troubleshooting List. If none of these
troubleshooting tips apply, call your nearest Samsung Service Center or 1-800-SAMSUNG.

Installation & Connection

Problem
The TV does not turn on.
TV reception is poor.
Possible Solution Reference
Check if the power cord is correctly connected.
Connect the antenna cable.

Menu & Remote Control

Problem
The Remote Control does
not work.
Cannot change the channel
with the remote control.
Cannot select a channel
from an external input
device.
Cannot select the menu.
Possible Solution Reference
Press the [MODE] button to select the TV or an external device.
Replace the batteries in the remote control.
Install batteries ensuring that the <+> and <-> ends of the
batteries are inserted correctly.
Check the angle and distance of the remote control to the TV.
Make sure there are no obstacles between the remote control and
the TV.
Check that the correct function button has been pressed.
Change the location of light sources or the direction of the TV to
avoid glare.
Press the [SOURCE] button to select <TV>.
Change the channel with the Cable or Satellite receiver remote
control.
Press the [SOURCE] button and check if the input source is shaded
in gray. If this is the case, you cannot select a channel through that
input source. Check the connection of that source to the TV.
Check if [MENU] is shaded in gray. [MENU] cannot be selected if this
is the case.
