AUFTAUEN

Das Mikrowellengerät eignet sich besonders gut zum Auftauen von Tiefkühlspeisen. Mit Mikrowellen

können Sie Tiefkühlspeisen in sehr kurzer Zeit schonend auftauen. Dies ist besonders praktisch, wenn

Tiefkühlgeflügel muß vor dem Garen gründlich aufgetaut werden. Entfernen Sie etwaige Metallclips und nehmen Sie das Geflügel aus der Verpackung, damit das Auftauwasser ablaufen kann.

Legen Sie die Tiefkühlspeise ohne Abdeckung auf einen Teller. Nach der Hälfte der Auftauzeit drehen Sie die Speise um und gießen das Wasser ab. Entfernen Sie bei Tiefkühlgeflügel Innereien möglichst bald. Überprüfen Sie hin und wieder, daß die aufzutauende Speise nicht warm wird. Schützen Sie dünne Teile (z. B. Flügelspitzen, Schwanzflossen) vor Erwärmung, indem Sie kleine Streifen Aluminiumfolie darumwickeln.

Falls sich beim Auftauen von Geflügel die Oberflächen erwärmen, unterbrechen Sie den Auftau- vorgang für 20 Minuten.

Lassen Sie Fisch, Fleisch und Geflügel nach dem Auftauen im Mikrowellengerät noch eine Weile stehen, um den Auftauvorgang abzuschließen. Diese Standzeit hängt von der aufzutauenden Speisenmenge ab - siehe Angaben in der Tabelle auf der folgenden Seite.

Tip: Nicht zu dicke Stücke und kleine Mengen tauen wesentlich schneller auf als dicke Teile und große Mengen. Beachten Sie dies beim Einfrieren und beim Auftauen von Speisen.
