•Windows 8 neatbalsta ar ehotstēšanu iespējotu aktivizēšanu lokālajā tīklā.

•Kad izveidots savienojums ar 100Mbps/1Gbps vadu LAN, parādās ziņojums, informējot lietotāju par savienojumu ar 10Mbps/100Mbps vadu LAN kad dators aktivizējas no miega režīma. Tas notiek, jo tīkla atjaunošana prasa aptuveni 3 sekundes. Kad tīkls ir atjaunots, datorā tiks izveidots savienojums ar 100Mbps/1Gbps LAN.
