This section explains Settings for customizing your device.

Accessing Settings

▶From a Home screen, press the Menu Key ➔ Settings.

Verizon Data Service

Your device can access the internet using the Verizon Wireless network with a monthly service plan, or with a pay-as-you-go plan. Use the Verizon Data Service setting to configure your device’s connection to the Verizon Wireless network.

You can also access the internet with a Wi-Fi network. For more information, see “Scanning and Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network” on page 76.

1.From a Home screen, press the Menu Key ➔ Settings

➔ Verizon Data Service.

2.Configure these settings:

• Use mobile data service: Enable to have your device use your monthly service plan to access the internet.

•Current plan and usage: If you have a pay-as-you-go service plan, view information about the plan.

•How to switch or remove data: View information about configure your device’s use of data plans.

•Month-to-Month plan: Touch to activate or renew a monthly service plan.

•Pay as you go plan: Touch to activate a month-to-month service on your device.

Wireless and network

Control your device’s wireless connections.

Airplane mode

When airplane mode is activated, your device’s wireless connections are disabled, and you cannot connect to networks. While in airplane mode, you can use other features of your device, such as playing music, watching videos, or other applications.

1.From a Home screen, press the Menu Key ➔ Settings

➔ Wireless and network.

2.Touch Airplane mode to turn Airplane Mode On or Off. When enabled, a check appears in the checkbox.
