Turning Your Device On

▶Press and hold the Power/Lock Key .

Note: Your device’s internal antenna is located along the bottom back of the device. Do not block the antenna; doing so may affect signal quality and may cause the device to operate at a higher power level than is necessary.

Turning Your Device Off

1.Press and hold the Power/Lock Key .

2.At the prompt, touch Power off.

Set-up Wizard

The first time you turn on your device, the Set-up Wizard will prompt you to customize your device. Follow the prompts to set:

1.Activate: If your device is not active, touch Activate.

2.Language: Choose English or Español.

3.Google service login: Set up your Google account on your device, including Google backup. For more information, see “Setting Up Your Accounts” on page 29.

4.Account Setup: Configure access to your online accounts. For more information, see “Accounts” on page 29.

5.My Location: Configure your device’s use of location services. For more information, see “My Location” on page 105.

6.Backup Assistant: Register and set up your device with the free Backup Assistant service. For more information, see “Backup Assistant” on page 37.

Tip: After the initial set-up, you can always access the Set-Up Wizard from Settings. For more information, see “Set-up Wizard” on page 119.
