Use this menu to customise various sound settings.

Incoming calls (Menu 4.1)

Use this menu to set up the ringer for incoming calls.

Default melodies: select one of the preset melodies.

My sounds: select one of sounds downloaded from the wireless web or Samsung PC Studio programme, or received by MMS.

Ring volume: adjust the ringer volume.

Alert type: specify how you are to be informed of incoming calls.

Melody: the phone rings using the selected ring tone.

Vibration: the phone vibrates but not rings.

Vibration then melody: the phone vibrates three times and then starts ringing.

Light only: the phone flashes the service light.

Messages (Menu 4.2)

Use this menu to set up the ringer for incoming SMS messages and MMS messages.

Tone: select one of several message tones.

Alert type: specify how you are informed of any incoming messages.

Repetition: specify how often the phone informs you of a new message.

Power on/off (Menu 4.3)

Use this menu to select the melody that the phone sounds when it is switched on or off.

Connection tone (Menu 4.4)

Use this menu to set the phone to beep when it is connected to the system.

Key tone (Menu 4.5)

Use this menu to select the tone that the phone sounds when you press a key.

You can adjust the keypad tone volume using
