This function allows the user to select the le naming format.
[Reset] : After using the reset function,
the next le name will be set
from 0001 even after formatting,
deleting all or inserting a new
memory card.
[Series]*
: New les are named using num-
bers that follow the previous sequence, even when a new
memory card is used, or after formatting, or after deleting
all pictures.
- The rst stored folder name is 100PHOTO, and the rst le name
is SAM_0001.
- File names are assigned sequentially from SAM_0001 Ã
SAM_0002 Ã ~ Ã SAM_9999.
- The folder number is assigned sequentially from 100 to 999 as
follows: 100PHOTO Ã 101PHOTO Ã ~ Ã 999PHOTO.
- Maximum numbers of les in a folder are 9999.
- The les used with the memory card conform to the DCF (Design
rule for Camera File systems) format. If you change the image le
name, the image may not play back.

Setting up the Date / Time / Date type
You can change the date and time that will be displayed on the
captured images and set up the date type. Setting [Time Zone]
enables you to display the local date and time on the LCD monitor
when travelling overseas.
