8. Usingattachments or accessories other
thanthose supplied by the manufacturer
cancreate a HAZARD. DONOT use
incompatibleparts.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10.Do not let cord hang over edge of table
orcounter, or touch hot surfaces.
11.Do not place on or near a hot burner or in
aheated oven.
12.Do not use the appliance for other than
intendeduse. This product is designed
forhousehold use only.
13.Do not clean with metal scouring pads.
Piecescan break off the pad and touch
electricalparts, creating a risk of electric
shock.Besides, metal-scouring pads
maydamage the finish.
14.When in use, keep grill a minimum of
10-12inches away from walls and clear
ontop. Placeon a stable, heat-resistant
surfaceand in a well-ventilated area.
Placethe applianceon a dryand horizontal
surface.
15.A fire may occurif the applianceis covered
ortouching flammable material, such as
curtains,draperies, walls and the like
whenin operation.
16.Do not place any of the followingor similar
materialsin or on the appliance, such as:
paper,cardboard, plastic, etc.
17.For long-life performance of the hot
plate,avoid dropping anything on the
heatingelement.
18.Electric Power: If the electric circuit is
overloadedwith other appliances, this
appliancemay not operate properly. The
applianceshould be operated on a
separateelectrical circuit from other
appliances.
19.Clean the appliance regularly as built-up
greasemay cause fire.
20.ALWAYS ALLOW THE APPLIANCE TO
COOLCOMPLETELY BEFORE CLEANING.

A.A short power-supply cord is providedto reduce risks of becoming entangledin or

trippingover a longer cord.

B.Extension cordsare available andmay be used if care isexercised in theiruse.

C.If extension cord is used:

(1)The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as

theelectrical rating of the appliance.

(2)The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertopor

tabletopwhereit can be pulledon by childrenor trippedover.

Theappliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other is).

Asa safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. Ifthe plug does

notfit fullyin the outlet,reverse theplug. Ifitstill does notfit, contacta qualified electrician.

Donot attempt to override this safety feature.
