SD-997A specifications

The SECO-LARM USA SD-997A is a versatile and highly efficient security device designed to enhance the safety and security of residential and commercial properties. This product is part of SECO-LARM's commitment to providing innovative security solutions that cater to a variety of needs. The SD-997A is particularly known for its functionality as a door/window contact, often utilized in alarm systems to detect unauthorized entry.

One of the main features of the SD-997A is its compact design, which allows for easy installation in various locations. The device consists of two primary components: a magnet and a switch. When the door or window is closed, the magnet aligns with the switch, keeping the circuit closed. If the door or window is opened, the magnet moves away from the switch, breaking the circuit and triggering the alarm system. This reliable mechanism provides a robust method for monitoring entry points.

In terms of technologies, the SECO-LARM USA SD-997A employs a reed switch technology, which is known for its durability and responsiveness. Reed switches are commonly used in security applications due to their ability to function seamlessly without any mechanical wear. This results in a longer lifespan and decreased maintenance requirements. Additionally, the SD-997A is designed to work with a variety of alarm panels, making it a flexible option for security systems.

Another critical characteristic of the SD-997A is its compatibility with both wired and wireless alarm systems, providing users with versatile options for installation. The device can be connected to a central alarm system, ensuring that any unauthorized activity is detected and communicated instantly. This capability enhances the overall effectiveness of security measures in place.

The SD-997A also features a tamper switch, which adds an extra layer of security. If an attempt is made to remove or tamper with the device, the tamper switch will trigger an alarm, alerting users to potential security breaches. This feature is particularly useful in deterring intruders and ensuring that the security system functions as intended.

Overall, the SECO-LARM USA SD-997A is a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly security solution. With its robust features, including reed switch technology, compatibility with various alarm systems, and added tamper protection, it is an excellent choice for anyone looking to bolster the security of their property. Whether for residential or commercial use, the SD-997A stands out as a reliable option for those serious about security.
