OPERATION

OPERATION

Before dismounting the tractor and loader lower the loader to the ground or onto solid support blocks. Engage the loader valve travel lock to prevent inadvertent movement of the valve controls causing the loader to suddenly move and drop. Sudden dropping of the loader and attachment could result in serious injury. (SL-05)

Before dismounting, park the tractor and implement on a reasonably level surface, apply the parking brake, idle the engine down, disengage the PTO, and lower the implement to the ground. Shut down the tractor engine according to the operator’s manual, remove the key, and wait for all motion to completely stop. Never leave the seat until the tractor, its engine and all moving parts have come to a complete stop.

Use hand rails and steps when exiting the tractor. Be careful of your step and use extra caution when mud, ice, snow or other matter has accumulated on the steps or hand rails. Use all handrails and steps for support and never rush or jump off the tractor. OPS-L- 0024

5. Starting the Tractor

Never run the Tractor engine in a closed building or without adequate ventilation. The exhaust fumes can be hazardous to your health.

Start tractor only when properly seated in the Tractor seat. Starting a tractor in gear can result in injury or death. Read the Tractor operators manual for proper starting instructions.
