as a horizontal “low profile” unit, depending on your personal preference.
3.Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
4.Set the unit to the desired mode of operation, “Fan/On” or “Fan/Ions”.
5.Select the desired fan speed (LC1060 & LC1460 “Low,” “Med” or “High”) (LC0760 “Low” or “High”).
Low Airflow - For continuous, extra quiet filtration. Medium Airflow - For continuous filtration.
High Airflow - For maximum, transient pollution filtration.
NOTE: Maximum filtration efficiency may not be reached until after the first 48 hours of operation.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Be sure the unit is switched off and unplugged from the power outlet.
PLASTIC HOUSING - A soft cloth and
ION EMITTER PINS - FIRST, TURN OFF AND UNPLUG THE UNIT. Reach into the air exit grill with a cotton swab dipped into alcohol to clean any dirt that may have accumulated on the pins. Use caution when cleaning pins.
WARNING: Do not wash the HEPA filter cartridge or the carbon filter. These are disposable items.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
To keep your unit operating at peak efficiency, the HEPA filter cartridge should be replaced as needed or as indicated by the Filter Condition Monitor (figure 2, LC0760 & LC1060). The HEPA filter cartridge is designed with large media surface areas and may last up to one year in typical operation. The rate at which the filter clogs with particulates depends on the volume and quality of air being filtered. If the unit is used continuously on high in a room with a strong source of particulates, such as a work shop, then the effective life of the filter will be reduced. In a cleaner environment, operating mainly on lower speeds, the filter will last longer. The carbon filter should be replaced regularly, about every three months or when odor removal effectiveness
is noticeably reduced.
