Føe klipperen justeres, skal klipperknivene standses (OFF), startnøglen drejes til OFF, nøglen tages ud, og alle bevægelige dele skal være standset. Tændrørskablet skal tages af og fastgøres væk fra tændrøret.

Nivellering fra side til side

Hvis skåret er ujævnt, skal klipperen måske nivelleres. Forskelligt eller forkert dæktryk kan også medføre ujævn klipning. Se EFTERSYN AF DÆKTRYKKET.

1.Med klipperen installeret parkeres rideren på en flad, vandret overflade som f.eks. et betongulv. Drej hjulene lige fremefter. Stands motoren, sæt kørekontrolhåndtagene i PARKERET, og vent indtil alle roterende dele er standset.

2.Undersøg om knivene er bøjede, og udskift dem, hvis det er nødvendigt.

3.Efterse dæktrykket. Se EFTERSYN AF DÆKTRYKKET.

4.Sæt klippehøjden i midtstilling. Stil knivene således, at de står på tværs af riderens kørselsretning (figur 36).

5.Mål afstanden mellem hver af ydersiden af knivenes yderste spidser og arbejdsoverfladen (figur 35 og 36). Hvis der er mere end 3 mm forskel mellem målingerne på de to sider, går man videre til trin 6. Hvis forskellen er 3 mm eller mindre, går man videre til for-til-bag nivellering.

6.Se figure 37. side-til-side nivellering foretages på de gevindskårne stænger (A) og svingtappen (B) på klipperaggregatets højre og venstre bagende. Løsn kontramøtrikkerne (C) og juster møtrikkerene op- eller nedad for at justere klipperens niveau. Når justeringen er korrekt, strammes kontramøtrikkerne imod svingtappen, så justeringen låses.
