INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION OF

1-1/2 H.P. NO. 1980, 1981, 1982, & 1983

SIOUX ROUTERS

OPERATION 1980,1981,1982 & 1983

Tool is turned on by rotating black knurled ring in a clockwise direction (clockwise when viewing tool from above when tool is resting on flat surface of base).

OPERATION 1980 & 1980F

Tool is turned on by squeezing valve lever into right ball grip.

Speed of tool may be adjusted by turning slotted speed control which is accessible thru hole in knurled ring when tool is turned on. The directional exhaust may be rotated to direct the exhausted air away from operator or work area.

DEPTH OF CUT 1980 & 1981

Loosen flat plastic thumb screw, turn knurled stop screw until desired length of cutter is exposed beneath base.

1982 & 1983

Loosen plastic thumb screw, turn large plastic ring at top of base until desired length of cutter is exposed beneath base.

CHANGING BITS

Disconnect tool from air line. Hold collet body with one wrench and loosen collet retaining nut with other wrench, replace cutting bit and retighten collet nut. Be sure bit is inserted into collet body before tightening collet nut.

SAFETY

1.Wear eye protection when using this machine.

2.Disconnect tool from air line when changing bits or making adjustments.

3.Always keep hands away from rotating cutter bits.

4.Always check collet to make sure cutter bits are tight.

construction activities contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or

other reproductive harm.
