High Performance

Leading the component drop-in category, Boston SL speakers borrow several key features from our acclaimed Boston Pro speakers, to give them plenty of pure, natural performance—all with minimal distortion and maximum bass. Available in four models designed specifically for easy installation into a variety of factory locations. It’s a level of sound quality and installation ease not commonly found at such

a popular price point.

Neodymium magnet

The compact size of the magnet allows SL speakers to be installed where others can’t. It offers an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio: approximately 10x more magnetic strength than a conventional iron-ferrite magnet of equal size.

TwinStageheat sink

Two separate aluminum heat sinks improve power handling and reliability. The first heat sink is located inside the voice coil; the second surrounds the main woofer magnet assembly.

1 12 -inch voice coil

Oversized 1 12 -inch voice coil increases overall power handling and reliability.

Type-S1 Kortec® tweeter

The Type-S1’s 1-inch dome is extremely lightweight and ultra strong, for excellent transient response and low distortion.

Contoured tweeter plane

Asymmetrical tweeter plane provides more natural off-axis response. (SL95 and SL65)

Dual tweeters

Smoother frequency response and higher output compared to conventional 3-way designs. (SL95)

Separable and dockable crossovers

Installation is more flexible, thanks to patent-pending highpass and lowpass crossover sections that can be separated. Crossovers can be connected for single or dual input, or daisy-chained for custom applications. (SL60)

System-specific crossovers

With both dynamic and solid state tweeter protection.

Quick-fit mounting cup

One-step connecting tweeter cup simplifies installation. Place the tweeter in the quick-fit cup and a simple rotation makes all connections and secures the tweeter into the cup.

Tweeter security tabs

Tabs on the tweeter grille prevent the tweeter from being taken out unless the grille is removed.

VariMount

Boston SL comes with several mounting adapters, making it possible to drop the speakers into the most common factory locations. Both 160mm and 165mm adapters and a 12 - inch spacer are included. (SL60 and SL65)

SL60 specifications

The SLS Audio SL60 is a cutting-edge loudspeaker that stands out for its innovative features and exceptional audio performance. Designed primarily for professional audio applications, the SL60 is ideal for live sound reinforcement, installations, and various events where high-quality sound is paramount.

One of the key features of the SL60 is its advanced coaxial driver design. This configuration allows for a point-source sound output, which ensures that the audio spreads evenly across the venue. This technology reduces phase issues commonly associated with multi-driver systems and results in clearer, more coherent audio reproduction. The coaxial driver consists of a high-frequency compression driver mounted on a low-frequency woofer, providing both depth and detail in sound across a wide frequency range.

The SL60 is built to deliver high SPL (sound pressure level) capabilities while maintaining clarity. With a maximum output of up to 131 dB, it can handle loud environments without sacrificing audio integrity. The speaker's frequency response spans from 50 Hz to 20 kHz, making it suitable for a variety of sound applications, from music playback to public speaking.

Durability is another defining characteristic of the SL60. Its enclosure is constructed from high-quality materials that ensure longevity and resilience, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The cabinet design incorporates a rugged, weather-resistant coating, which protects the speaker from environmental factors.

The integration of advanced technologies further sets the SL60 apart. It features a built-in passive crossover network, ensuring that the high and low frequencies are properly routed to the appropriate drivers. The crossover point is carefully calibrated to create a seamless blend between the woofer and the tweeter, providing a natural sound that is free from distortion.

Moreover, the SL60 is equipped with versatile mounting options, including fly points for suspension and pole mounts for ground stacking. This flexibility allows for easy installation and positioning, making it a favorite among sound engineers and venue managers.

Lastly, the SL60's sleek design and aesthetic appeal make it a visually striking addition to any setup. Whether used on stage or as part of an installation, the SL60 combines performance with style, making it a top choice for professionals seeking reliable audio solutions. Overall, the SLS Audio SL60 delivers a remarkable audio experience, underscoring SLS Audio’s commitment to quality and innovation in the professional audio industry.
