26 Getting Started

You are now ready to use your VCR

To record an unscrambled channel

1Set the A/B switch to “A.”

2Select channels on the VCR.

To record a scrambled channel

1Set the A/B switch to “B.”

2Select channels on the cable box (for details on the cable box,

see page 33).

To watch TV

1Turn off your VCR, or press the VCR’s TV/VTR button until the VTR

indicator in the display window goes off.

2Set the A/B switch to “B.”

3Turn on your cable box.

4Set the TV to the cable box output channel (usually 2, 3, or 4).

5Set the cable box to the channel you want to watch.
