Note

Do not clean the LCD screen with a moistened cloth. Moisture may cause a malfunction.

On cleaning

Clean the cabinet, panel and controls with a soft dry cloth, or a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use any type of solvent, such as alcohol or benzine, which may damage the finish.

Cleaning the lens

If you accidentally touch the lens with dirty fingers or if dust on the lens prevents the CD-RW drive from operating properly, clean the lens.

Cleaning discs

•Fingerprints or dust may cause picture noise or reduced sound quality.

•Clean the disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out.

•If soiled, clean the disc with a soft cloth slightly moistened with water, then remove the moisture with a soft, dry cloth.

•Do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner, commercially-available cleaners or anti-static spray intended for vinyl LPs.

•Do not clean CD-R/RW discs with a cleaning cloth before recording. Use a blower brush to remove the dust.

•Handle CD-R/RW discs with care before recording. Scratches or dust may cause a malfunction.

Cleaning the LCD screen (DPF-P7D only)

Clean the LCD screen gently with a soft dry cloth.
