Smile Shutter
When the camera detects a smile, the shutter is released automatically.
1Lower the lens cover to switch to shooting mode.

2 t (Smile Shutter)

3Wait detecting a smile.

When the smile level exceeds the V point on the indicator, the
camera records images automatically.
If you press the shutter button during Smile Shutter, the
camera shoots the image, and then returns to Smile Shutter
mode.

4To end the Smile Shutter, touch t

(Smile Shutter).

• Shooting using the Smile Shutter ends automatically when either the memory card or internal memory
becomes full.
• Smiles may not be detected correctly depending on th e conditions.
• You cannot use the Digital Zoom function.
• The [Smile Shutter] function is not available in the following situations:
– In Intelligent Sweep Panorama mode
– In Supe rior Auto Adjustment mode
– In Backgr ound Defocus mode
– In 3D shoo ting mode
– In Underwater i Sweep Panorama mode
– In Movi e Mode

zSetting the Smile Detection Sensitivity
In Smile Shutter mode, a button that sets the Smile Detection Sensitivity is displayed.
• The Smile Detection Sensitiv ity is fixed to [Normal Smile] in Easy M ode.
• When [Display Settings] is set to [Off], the Smile Detection Sensitivity is not displayed.
: Detects a big smile.
: Detects a normal smile.
: Detects even a slight smile.
