1Turn on the computer.
Close down all applications running on
the computer.
For Windows 2000/Windows XP/
Windows Vista
Log on as an Administrator.
2Insert the “Memory Stick Duo”
media into the VCR.
3Connect the VCR to the wall
outlet (wall socket) using the
supplied AC Adaptor (p. 13).
4Set the POWER switch to ON.
5Press MENU.
The menu screen appears.
6Select (OTHERS) t [USB
SELECT] t [ Memory Stick]
(p. 65).
7Connect the USB cable to the
USB jacks on the VCR and your
computer.
It may take a while until your computer
recognizes the VCR for the first time.
bNotes
• When using a USB cable to connect the VCR to
a computer, make sure to connect the jack in the
correct direction. If you insert the jack forcibly,
it may be damaged, and cause a malfunction of
the VCR.
• The computer may not recognize the VCR if
you connect them with the USB cable before
turning on the VCR.

Recommended connection

Check the following to ensure the VCR is
operated correctly to establish connection.
• Connect the VCR to a computer via the USB
cable. Make sure no other USB devices are
connected to the computer.
• If your computer has a USB keyboard and a
USB mouse as standard equipment, leave them
connected and connect the VCR to an available
USB jack with the USB cable.
• Operation is not guaranteed if you connect two
or more USB devices to the computer.
