Connecting the TV

HD Equipment

zIf your equipment has an HDMI or DVI connector, see page 26.

Disconnect all power sources before making any connections.

1Using a component video cable, connect your equipment’s YPBPR output jacks to the TV’s YPBPR input jacks. Use the HD/DVD IN 4 connections.

Component video (YPBPR) connection is necessary to view 480p, 720p, and 1080i formats. Note that this TV displays all format types of picture in a resolution of 1,280 dots 768 lines (KLV-S19A10) and 1,366 dots 768 lines (KLV-S23A10).

2Using an audio cable, connect your equipment’s AUDIO output jacks to the TV’s AUDIO input jacks.

The YPBPR jacks do not provide audio, so audio cables must be connected to provide sound.
