for the area that needs correcting.

• If you are unable to adjust the corner convergence properly,
correct them with the use of permal l oy assemblies.
3-3. WHITE BALANCE
G2 Setting
1. Switch the TV set into AV mode [apply a cross-hatch signal].
2. Enter into the ‘Service mode’ and select ‘Picture Control’.
3. Enter ‘Picture Control’ and select ‘Personal’ press OK.
4. Return to ‘Picture Control’ m enu and select ‘Reset’.
5. Measure the voltages on t he 3 cathodes of t he CRT, Kr,Kg
and Kb usi ng an oscilloscope wi th a 100:1 pr obe.
6. Co nnect the os cilloscope t o t he CRT cathode which recorded
the highest voltage and adjust [RV702 SCREEN] to obtain a
readi ng of 17 5V.
White balance adjustment
1. Input an all white sign al from the pattern ge ne ra to r.
2. Enter into the Servic e Mode.
3. Enter into the ‘Picture Adjustment’ service menu.
4. Select ‘Sub contrast’ and adjust to 7.
5. Sel ect the ‘Green drive’ and adjust so that th e white balance
becomes optimum.
6. Select the ‘Blue drive’ and adjust so that the white balance
becomes optimum.
7. Press the ‘TV’ button on the remote commander to return to
TV operation.

1. Receive a television broadcast signal.
2. Normalise the picture setting.
3. A dj ust the focus control on the flyback transformer for the
best focus at th e centre of the scree n.
Bring only the centre area of the screen into focus, the magenta
ring appears on the screen. In thi s case, adjust the fo cus to
optimize the screen uniformly.
