Formatting memory (FORMAT)

You can use your Network Walkman to format the built-in flash memory or “Memory Stick Duo” (not supplied).

If memory is formatted, all data previously stored in the memory will be erased. Be sure to verify the data stored in the memory prior to formatting. (If a “Memory Stick” is formatted, data recorded using other devices will be also erased.) A commercially available “Memory Stick” is already formatted at the factory. You do not need to format it prior to using.
