Connecting the VCR

Connection to your TV and Set-Top Box (STB)

If you don’t use a STB, skip to page 16.

The illustration below shows an example of connecting the STB to LINE-3 IN.

You can watch programmes from the Set-Top Box connected to this VCR on your TV

even when the VCR is turned off using the Line Throug h func tion . When you tu rn on

the STB, this VCR automatically sends the signal from the STB to the TV without

turning itself on

Note

•You cannot watch programmes from your STB on the TV while recording unless you record

a programme from your STB.

1Connect the STB to the DECODER/LINE-3IN connector as shown above.

2Set DECODER/LINE-3 to LINE-3 in the OTHER OPTIONS menu.

3Set POWER SAVE to OFF in the OTHER OPTIONS menu.

4Turn off the VCR.

To watch a programme from the STB, turn on the STB and your TV.
