Communicating without an Access Point (Ad-hoc)

An ad-hoc network is a network in which a local network is created only by the wireless devices themselves, with no other central controller or Access Point. Each device communicates directly with other devices in the network. You can set up an ad-hoc network easily at home.

To communicate without an Access Point (ad-hoc)

1Turn on the WIRELESS LAN switch. The WIRELESS LAN indicator lights up.

2Click Start and then Control Panel.

3Click Network and Internet Connections.

4Click Network Connections.

The Network Connections window appears.

5Right-clickWireless Network Connection, then click Properties. The Wireless Network Connection Properties window appears.

6Select the Wireless Networks tab.
