Power

SymptomCause/remedy

Power does not come on.

c The internal battery may be fully discharged. Charge the battery as

described in the Quick Start Guide.

c Press the reset button (page 6).

After pressing the reset button, it takes about 10 seconds for the unit

to become operative.

Power goes off.

c If the backlight timer setting is enabled, the power is automatically

shut off when the player or the remote control has been operated for

a set time period. Press the POWER/HOLD switch to turn the player

back on.

Power comes on briefly, but then shuts off again.

cIf the player has not been used for a while, the battery may have gradually lost its charge. Charge the battery before using the player again.

cThe player is shipped from the factory with a partial battery charge that may have been lost by the time you receive it. Charge the battery before first using the player.

cOver time, the operating time offered by a full battery charge will decrease. The performance of the internal battery will gradually deteriorate, based on the number of times the battery has been charged, how much the player has been used, and how long the player has been stored unused. This is normal for a lithium-ion battery and may indicate that the battery needs replacement.
