If you slide up (in the direction of f on the switch) and hold the power switch for more than four seconds, the computer will turn off automatically. You will lose any unsaved data.

The computer comes out of Standby mode quicker than out of Hibernate mode.

If the power switch is in the HOLD position, you can slide it up (in the direction of f on the switch) to return to Normal mode. Standby mode uses more power than Hibernate mode.

!

If the battery runs down while the computer is in Standby mode, the computer will automatically enter Hibernate mode.

If the computer is not used for 25 minutes, it will enter Standby mode. To avoid this, you can change the Standby mode settings.
