What should I do if the LCD brightness of my screen changes?

The LCD brightness setting, adjusted with VAIO Touch Launcher, is temporary and may be restored to the original setting when your computer returns to Normal mode from Sleep or Hibernate mode. To save your preference for the brightness, follow these steps:

1Right-click the power status icon on the taskbar and select Power Options.

2Click Change plan settings under the current power plan.

3Click Change advanced power settings. The Power Options window appears.4Select the Advanced settings tab.

5Double-click Display.

6Adjust the LCD brightness setting in the item for brightness adjustment.

Why can't I use my touch panel?

❑The power switch may be in the HOLD position. Slide up the power switch (in the direction of f on the switch) to release the switch.

❑The touch panel may be disabled.

Use VAIO Control Center to enable the touch panel. See Setting Up Your Computer with VAIO Control Center (page 114) and find out more in its help file.
