Faces may not be detected depending on recording conditions.

Example: People wearing glasses or hats, or who do not face towards the camera.

Make sure that you set [FACE DETECTION] to [ON] (the default setting) prior to recording, to search movies on the Face Index (p. 84).

You can also display the [Face Index] screen by touching (HOME) (VIEW IMAGES) [FACE].

Playing back a digest of your movies (HIGHLIGHT PLAYBACK) (HDR-XR200E/ XR200VE)

Your camcorder selects a number of short scenes at random, puts them together, and plays them back as a digest of your high definition image quality (HD) movies with music and visual effects. You cannot record a scene and specify it as a highlight scene. Scenes selected for Highlight Playback differ each time Highlight Playback is selected.

Select the recording media which contains the movie you want to play back before you start the operation (p. 69).

Press (VIEW IMAGES).

The VISUAL INDEX screen appears.

Touch (HIGHLIGHT PLAYBACK).

The settings for Highlight Playback appear. The Highlight Playback starts after several

seconds.

After touching in step 2, touch [HIGHLIGHT SET] before the Highlight Playback starts. You can set following items.

[PLAYBACK RANGE]

Set the range of movies to be played by selecting the from and to date, then touch .
