NOTICE
Installation must conform with local codes, or in the abs ence of local codes, with the National Fuel
Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1, Natural Gas Installation Cod e, CAN/CGA-B149.1, or the Propane
Installation Code, CAN/CGA-B149.2, as applicable.
NOTICE
These installation procedures must be followed by qu alified personnel or warranty will be void.
Local codes regarding installation vary greatly from one area to another. T he National F ire Pr otection
Association, Inc. states in its NFPA 96 latest edition that loca l codes are the “authority having
jurisdiction” when it comes to installation requirem ents for equipment.
Step 1: Unpack
IMMEDIATELY INSPECT FOR SHIPPING DAMAGE
All containers should be examined for damage before an d during unloading. T he freight carrier has
assumed responsibility for safe transit and delivery. If damaged equipment is received, either
apparent or concealed, a claim must be made with the deliver ing carrier.
Apparent damage or loss must be noted on the freight bi ll at t he tim e of deliver y. T he freight bi ll m us t
then be signed by the carrier representative (Driver). If the bill is not signed, the carrier may refuse
the claim. The carrier can supply the necessary forms .
A request for inspection must be made to the carrier with in 15 days if there is concealed damage or
loss that is not apparent until after the equipment is uncrat ed. The carrier should arrange an
inspection. Be certain to hold all contents plus all pack ing material.
1. Uncrate carefully. Report any hidden dam age to the freight carrier IMMEDIATELY.
2. Do not remove any tags or labels unti l unit is installed and working properly.
Step 2: Install Flue Riser
The flue riser assembly is packed separately in the fryer ship pin g c r ate. Att ac h t he f lue ris er to the top r ear of
the fryer (see illustration on page 7).
