Quiet Boil Technology

The Sunbeam Silentio™ Kettle features new Quiet Boil Technology that makes boiling water a peaceful practice.

The quiet boil technology incorporates a 4mm thick, aluminium diffuser plate located between the heating element and the kettle floor, ensuring an even spread of heat distribution into the water. The kettle floor is also equipped with two textures – a smooth polished, reflective surface and sand-blasted textured area – which disperses the heat and bubbles. The combination of the modified element diffuser plate and selective texturing gives rise to a significant noise reduction throughout the whole boiling process.

Maintaining the Quiet Boil Technology.

Mineral deposits in tap water solidify when the water is heated; lime scale may be white, coloured, even rusty-looking and is normally visible but phosphate scale isn’t generally visible although may cause the water to appear cloudy when heated.

Regular use of the kettle can lead to the build-up of these minerals which reduces the effectiveness of the Quiet Boil technology as well as the performance of the kettle.

It is important to descale your kettle regularly to maintain the Quiet Boil technology and to prolong the life of the kettle.
