CMOS Clear
JBT1 is used to clear CMOS. Instead of pi ns, this "jumper " consists of c ontact
pads to prevent the accidental cl earing of CMO S. To clear CMOS, use a met al
object such as a small screwdri ver to touch b oth pads at th e same tim e to shor t
the connection. Always rem ove the AC po wer c ord f rom t he syste m befor e cl ear-
ing CMOS.
Note 1. For an ATX power supply, you must completely shut down the
system, remove the AC power cord and then short JBT1 to clear CMOS.
Note 2. Clearing CMOS will also clear any passwords.

Watch Dog Enable/Disable
Watch Dog (JWD) is a system monitor that
can reboot the system when a soft ware ap-
plication hangs. Close Pins 1-2 to reset t he
system if an application hangs. Clos e Pins
2-3 to generate a non-maskab le interrupt
signal for the application th at hangs. See the
table on the right for jumper set tings. Watch
Dog must also be enabled in the BI OS.
