Preparing a microSD card for use

A microSD card must be formatted by this unit to be used with the unit.

1Confirm that the microSD card is inserted and turn the power ON.

2If a new card or a card that has been formatted by a device other than this unit has been inserted, the following pop-up message appears.

3Press the ¯ (Exec.) key to start formatting the card.

CAUTION

Formatting erases all data on the card.

4When formatting is complete, the Home Screen opens.

CAUTION

When formatting, confirm that the remaining battery charge is sufficient or use USB bus power.

You can also format the card at any time with this unit. (See “Reformatting the microSD card” on page 90.)

Setting the date and time

This unit adds date and time information to recorded files using its internal clock. Timer recording also uses the internal clock.
