5 – File and folder operations (FILE/FOLDER screen)
Press the  (No) key to cancel splitting the file and return to the SPLIT FILE screen.
NOTE
When the SPLIT FILE screen is open, you can press
the Á PLAY key and find the point where you want to split the file during playback.
When a file is split, new files are created with “_a” and “_b” added to the end of the original file name.
For example, if the file name before being split was “091225_0000.wav”, then the file names after splitting are “091225_0000_a.wav” (part before the split point) and “091225_0000_ b.wav” (part after the split point).
After being split, the “_a” file is selected.
CAUTION
•MP3 files cannot be split.
•If the open capacity on the microSD card is low, splitting might not be possible.
•If the resulting file names would have more than 200 characters, splitting is not possible.
•If a file already exists that has the same name as a name that would result from splitting a file, split- ting is not possible.
Erasing files
Follow these procedures to erase unnecessary files.
1Use the  and ¯ keys or the FILE/ FOLDER screen to select a file that you want to erase.
