TROUBLESHOOTING
IF THE APPLIANCE IS NOT VISIBLY DAMAGED
•The kettle does not operate or switches off before the water boils:
- Check that the appliance is
- The kettle has been operated with no water in it, or limescale has built up, triggering the
Switch on the kettle: it should begin operating again after approximately 15 minutes.
•The water tastes of plastic:
This problem generally only occurs when the kettle is new. You should discard the water from the first few uses. If the problem persists, fill the kettle to the Maximum level and add two teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate (baking powder). Boil and discard this solution. Rinse the kettle.
• The hotplate does not work:
Check that the switch located under the handle is set to the On position.
IF YOUR TEAPOT OR KETTLE HAS BEEN DROPPED, IF IT LEAKS OR IF THE POWER CORD, PLUG OR TRAY ARE VISIBLY DAMAGED
