Using the blender for the first time
•Before using the blender for the first time, clean all accessories (D & E) in hot soapy water (except for the motor unit
(A): see “Cleaning” §). Rinse and dry them carefully. Handle the blades with extreme care.
•Ensure that all packaging has been removed before using the blender.
Using the blender
•Lock the blade holder (D3) onto the glass jug (D2) by giving it a quarter turn
•Place the blender jug (D) onto the motor unit (A) (1c).
•Place the food to be blended into the glass jug (D2), starting with the liquid ingredients first, never exceeding the maximum level (1.2 litre).
•Plug the appliance in, turn it on and choose the speed most suitable for your preparation using the speed selector switch (B).
•To stop the appliance, turn the speed selector switch (B) to 0.
The lid and its measuring cap (D1) must always be properly fitted when the appliance is working. To add
ingredients while the blender is operating, insert them through the feeder hole in the lid.
Ice crushing
•Put some ice cubes into the glass jug (D) (12 to 15 ice cubes). There is no need to add water.
•Press the “Ice Crush” button (C) in quick succession but do not hold the button down.
Using the ice stick (E) (depending on model)
This accessory enables you to cool mixtures down, or keep them cool.
•Fill the container (E1) with coarse salt right up to the level indicated inside (2a). Then fill it with cold water (2b).
•Screw the handle (E2) of the container on very tightly (2c) and shake until the salt dissolves.
•Place the ice stick (E) in the deep freezer, preferably in an upright position, until the salt water mixture has frozen (12 hours minimum).
•Make your preparation in the blender, and then introduce the frozen ice stick (E) through the feeding hole in the lid. This will keep your mixture cooler.

•Unplug the blender and remove all the accessories.
•Wipe the motor unit (A) down with a damp cloth. Dry carefully.
•Never plunge the motor unit (A) under water.
•Rinse the glass (D) under running water, along with its accessories.
•Handle the blades with extreme care as they are very sharp.

What to do if my blender doesn't work?
Start by checking the power cord and plug, then check:
•that the blender (D) is properly fitted onto the motor unit (A).
•that the speed selector switch (B) is in the right position.
•that the glass jug (D) has not been overfilled above the maximum level (1.2 litre)
