Remove the battery from the battery
compartment.
CAUTION
Toavoid equipment damage, do not apply
power to the J17 while disassembling it.
Static electricity can damage the circuit
boards of the J17. Observe static precauĆ
tions when the covers of the J17 are reĆ
moved.
Using the hex wrench, remove the four
screws from the J17 front panel.
Remove the back cover of the J17.
Remove the five screws that attach the
A1 board to the A2 board.
Gently pull the two boards apart, taking
care not to bend the connector pins on the
A1 board.
Connect the battery to the A1 board and
turn on the power switch.
Connect the voltmeter to testpoint 90
and test point 32 (ground). Check test point 90
for a voltage of +7.2 V or higher.Refer to FigĆ
ure 6Ć1 for test point locations.
