The first line of the cursor data display contains the hexadecimal
values of the selected word and the three that follow it. Values typi-
cal for the SAV timing and reference signal are shown in Figure 10.
The video “type” of the selected word is indicated by the sample ID:
B = CB color difference
Y = Cosited luminance
R = CR color difference
y (lowercase) = Isolated luminance
The second line contains the address or coordinates of the selected
word. In the example, the selected word is number 1712 of line 4 in
field 1.
The cursor movement icon is present on the second line when you
can use the arrow keys to position the cursor. Normal cursor move-
ment is one line for each press of the Y or B key, and one word per
press of the A or " key. Pressing Shift twice (to invoke shift lock)
will increase horizontal movement to 20 words per key press, and
vertical movement to 10 lines per key press. Press Shift again to re-
turn to “fine” cursor control. The Cursor cross hairs in the AUX out-
put may be turned off through the I/O menu (see page 29).
The Cursor Data display may also be invoked through the Display
Select menu, but Cursor cross hairs must be enabled separately,
through the I/O menu (see page 29).

To use Highlighting:
1. Configure the SDA 601 to monitor one or more of the above
items; see “Watching a Signal” beginning on page 14.

3. The first I/O menu item is Highlighting. Use the A or " key to
select “On, Dim Video” then press Enter to confirm the choice.
Dim Video reduces the video signal by 50%, ensuring good con-
trast between the video signal and highlighted pixels.

5. If necessary, start or restart the Watch session by pressing Watch.
