Thestylusissubjecttonaturalwearandtearduri ngnormalplaying.Therefore,we recommendyouoccasionallycheckthestylusand,in thecaseofdiamondstyli,this shouldbecarriedoutafterapproximately300playi nghours.Wornordamaged (splintered)stylichiselthemodulationfromtheg roovesanddestroyrecords.There fore,onlyusethestylustypesrecommendedinthe technicaldataofthecartridgeas replacementcartridges.Imitatedstyliresultinau diblequalitylossesandincreased wearandtearofrecords.Pulloffthestylusslant ingdownwards.Insertthestylusin thereversemode(Fig6).
