GROUNDED PLUG

To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug (2 blades and 1 pin). If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1.Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.

2.Remove all packaging.

3.Water boiled for the first time should be discarded.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

1.The Filter has been installed on the Kettle before shipping. If it has been removed, hold the Kettle so that the spout is facing away from you. Hold the Filter by the widest part, and slide the Filter down into the bottom filter holder slot. The top of the filter fits in between the grooves on either side of the filter holder. DO NOT use the Kettle without the Filter in position as water may spill out when boiling. DO NOT REMOVE THE FILTER WHEN

THE KETTLE IS HOT.

2.Fill Kettle between the minimum and maximum levels shown on the Water Level Window.

NOTE: DO NOT attempt to fill while the Kettle is on the Power Base.

DO NOT use for other than boiling water. Other liquids will contaminate the interior of the Kettle.

DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated on the Water Level Window. Overfilling may cause water to spill out when boiling.

3.Place Kettle on Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its Base.

4.Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.

NOTE: Never plug Power Base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.

5.Depress the On/Off Switch to the ‘On’ position. The Indicator Light will illuminate to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will automatically switch to the ‘Off’ position and the Indicator Light will go out.
