11.13 Call screening

Call screening allows you to hear the caller while he is leaving a message. You can then decide if you want to talk to the caller directly.

To turn the call screening on/off:

Press the SCREEN key during standby, the answering machine will emit one beep for on and 2 beeps for off.

11.14 Message alert

Message alert give you an indication that you have new message(s) saved in the answering machine. You will hear a short beep periodically.

To turn the message alert on/off:

Press the ALERT key during standby, the answering machine will emit one beep for on and 2 beeps for off.

11.15 Remote operation

The answering machine can only be operated remotely using a tough-tone phone (DTMF ton selection system).

Call your machine.

Press the button when the answering machine picks up the line and you hear the outgoing message.

After the beep, slowly dial the VIP code (default=‘000’). If you have entered the code incorrectly you will hear the outgoing message again.

Enter the next codes to use the desired function:

a) Listening to messages

Press ‘2’ (listen to messages). The answer machine will play the messages. During playback, you have the following options:

Press ‘2’ to restart playback.

Press ‘3’ to go to the next message.

Press ‘1' to go to the previous message.

Press ‘2’ to repeat the current message.

Press ‘5’ to stop playback.

Press ‘0’ to erase the current message.

b) Erasing all old messages

After listening to all messages, press ‘0’ twice to erase all messages.

c) Playing outgoing message

Press ‘6’ to play the outgoing message.

d) Playing memo

Press ‘4’ to play the memo message

e) Recording a memo

Press ‘7’ to start recording

Say your message.

Press ‘5’ to stop recording.
